NESH Glacier Combines Ice-Making, Filtration and Instant Heating in Malaysia Book of Records-Recognised System

NESH Malaysia has introduced the Glacier (All-in-One, Beyond Expectation), an integrated water filtration and dispensing system that combines water purification, ice production, temperature control and automated cleaning in a single compact unit.

Launched at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Glacier has been officially recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records as the “Smallest Ice-Dispensing Water Filter Machine.” The record recognition highlights the system’s integration of multiple water-related functions into a compact form factor.

Rather than functioning solely as a conventional water purifier, Glacier combines several technologies within one appliance. The system can produce ice at the touch of a button, dispense 2°C ice water, produce crystal-clear bullet ice and provide hot water with temperature settings ranging from 40°C to 95°C.

Its instant-heating system is designed to deliver hot water in approximately three seconds, reducing the need for a conventional hot-water storage tank and minimising waiting time between temperature selection and dispensing.

Dual Filtration and Mineral Enhancement

On the purification side, Glacier uses a dual filtration system designed to address common contaminants found in household water supplies.

The filtration system is designed to reduce sediment, rust, heavy metals, chlorine and unpleasant odours, while its mineral enhancement stage adds minerals including silica to the treated water.

The system also incorporates UV sterilisation, adding another layer of water treatment by using ultraviolet technology to help reduce bacteria.

NESH Malaysia Business Development Manager Jay Soh said the compact architecture was developed around changing consumer requirements for more integrated household appliances.

“Today’s consumers are looking for water filtration systems that fit seamlessly into their lifestyles—products that are compact, intelligent and convenient,” he said. “Glacier demonstrates our commitment to creating innovative water solutions that address real-life needs while enhancing the everyday experience at home.”

Automated Cleaning and User Maintenance

Glacier also incorporates an automated self-cleaning system. With a single touch, the appliance can clean its internal water circuit and water tank, helping to address limescale build-up, impurities and bacteria within the system.

Maintenance is also designed to be user-accessible, with the filter cartridge replaceable without requiring a technician.

According to NESH Malaysia Chief Marketing Officer Glanes Soh, the system was designed to consolidate several functions into one appliance.

“Glacier is more than just a water dispenser. It is a new, complete hydration experience that brings together ice-making, purification, temperature control and smart hygiene technology in one beautifully designed system,” he said.

A Compact Approach to Water Appliances

The Malaysia Book of Records recognition places the Glacier’s physical footprint at the centre of its product proposition. By combining an ice maker, water purifier, hot and cold water dispenser and cleaning system into one appliance, NESH is targeting households where counter space and appliance consolidation are important considerations.

The approach also reflects a broader trend in consumer appliances towards integrating multiple functions into a single connected or automated system rather than requiring separate appliances for different tasks.

The NESH Glacier has a recommended retail price of RM7,976. During its launch promotion from Aug 13 to 16, the system is being offered at RM3,988, with guaranteed cashback and an exclusive free gift.

The launch showcase is taking place at Pavilion Bukit Jalil Centre Court, Level 2, from 10am to 10pm.

With its combination of filtration, mineral enhancement, UV treatment, automated cleaning, ice production and rapid heating, Glacier represents NESH Malaysia’s attempt to bring multiple water-treatment and dispensing technologies together in a single compact platform—while securing a place in the Malaysia Book of Records for its size.
