BMW Group Malaysia drives to new record-breaking achievements in 2023, closing out 20 Years of Excellence with pinnacle achievement as Malaysia’s Leading Premium and Luxury Electric Vehicle Provider.

BMW Group Malaysia achieved record-breaking results in 2023, marking their 20th year of operation in the country. They secured their position as Malaysia’s leading premium and luxury electric vehicle provider, delivering over 15,000 units across BMW, MINI, and BMW Motorrad portfolios. The premium automaker demonstrated significant growth in electrified vehicles, with over 3,600 units delivered, contributing to a 136% year-on-year growth. Notably, BMW Group Malaysia previewed a new showroom, Auto Bavaria Balakong, following the customer-centric Retail.NEXT concept.

In terms of electric mobility, BMW Group Malaysia led the Electric Vehicle segment, delivering over 3,600 fully electric vehicles in 2023. The company emphasized efforts to expand the public charging network, providing over 1,700 charging facilities through strategic partnerships. They introduced 19 new models, including eight fully electric vehicles like the First-Ever All-Electric BMW i7 and i5. The company also expanded its partnership with Gentari to introduce Charge Go, a mobile EV charging service.

BMW Group Malaysia maintained its position as the Number One Premium Automotive Company in Malaysia for the fourth consecutive year. Key models like the BMW 3 Series and the BMW X range contributed to the success, with the BMW X5 leading in deliveries. MINI’s growth was attributed to the MINI Countryman, while BMW Motorrad experienced increased demand for Adventure motorcycles.

The financial services arm financed over 5,000 vehicles, including over 1,100 fully electric vehicles. BMW Group Malaysia achieved high net promoter scores across all three brands, positioning the country among the Top 3 globally. The company also previewed a new, expansive showroom in Balakong, emphasizing a premium ownership experience.

Additionally, BMW Malaysia previewed the locally assembled BMW X5 xDrive50e M Sport, featuring significant updates in performance and efficiency. The plug-in hybrid variant showcased improvements in power, torque, and electric range, along with a revamped cabin and added features.
