BMW Group Malaysia and Gentari electrify The Exchange TRX with state-of-the-art EV charging facilities.

BMW Group Malaysia, in partnership with Gentari Sdn Bhd (Gentari) through its subsidiary Gentari Green Mobility Sdn Bhd, has activated new EV charging facilities in the country’s new leading lifestyle destination, The Exchange TRX. The introduction of these latest facilities marks another noteworthy step in the premium automaker’s mission towards strengthening Malaysia’s electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem.

Conveniently located at The Exchange TRX’s basement carpark, the new EV charging facilities boast a combined thirteen units of 22kWh AC chargers that offer EV owners a fast and efficient way to power up their vehicles during their visit to the opulent shopping hub. Five charging units will be available at the Premium Parking level, with the remaining eight units housed at Level B1.

To date, BMW Group Malaysia has made over 2,020 charging facilities available in its network to its customers through strategic partnerships with various EV charging providers in Malaysia. Through purposeful partnerships with influential industry players, BMW Group Malaysia remains committed in its mission to shape the future of mobility in the country. Additionally, over 100 BMW i and MINI charging facilities are also available at most authorised dealerships, as well as partnering venues across the country, with more to come as part of the strategic infrastructure expansion plan set for the year ahead.

Meanwhile, as a leading charging point operator in Malaysia, Gentari highlights its commitment to safety and regulations with the largest network of licensed chargers certified by the Energy Commission. Through its recently launched clean energy platform ‘Gentari Go’, Gentari’s cross-border roaming partnerships enable customers to access a combined total of over 2,000 chargers across Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.

The charging stations at The Exchange TRX are accessible for electric vehicle owners from 10AM – 10PM daily, with charging rates priced at RM0.25 per min.
